À l’issue de la finale de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations (CAN) qui s’est tenue à Rabat, le 18 janvier 2026, les autorités sénégalaises adressent leurs chaleureuses félicitations au Gouvernement et au peuple marocains pour la parfaite organisation de cette compétition continentale de très haut niveau.
Le Sénégal tient à saluer la qualité remarquable des infrastructures, la rigueur de l’organisation, ainsi que l’hospitalité, la disponibilité et l’assistance constantes dont ont bénéficié la délégation sénégalaise, les équipes participantes et l’ensemble des supporters tout au long de la CAN. Cette réussite illustre une nouvelle fois le savoir-faire reconnu du Royaume du Maroc dans plusieurs domaines et son engagement constant en faveur du rayonnement du sport africain.
La finale a offert au public africain et international un moment de football intense et de grande qualité, à la hauteur du talent et de l’ambition des deux nations. Elle a surtout mis en scène deux pays frères, unis par des liens forts de tous ordres. Le résultat sportif, si favorable qu’il soit au Sénégal, ne saurait occulter le mérite, la combativité et la valeur de la sélection marocaine, qui a porté haut les couleurs du Royaume du Maroc avec dignité et panache.
Dans cet esprit, le Sénégal réaffirme que cette rencontre restera avant tout un symbole de fraternité, de respect mutuel et de fierté africaine partagée.

Following the final of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), held in Rabat on 18 January 2026, the Senegalese authorities extend their warm congratulations to the Government and the people of Morocco for the flawless organization of this high-level continental competition.
Senegal commends the remarkable quality of the infrastructure, the rigor of the organization, as well as the hospitality, availability and constant assistance provided to the Senegalese delegation, the participating teams and all supporters throughout the AFCON. The final offered African and international audiences a moment of intense, high-quality football, worthy of the talent and ambition of both nations.
