23ᵉ session extraordinaire du Conseil des Ministres des Affaires étrangères de l’OCI.

Son Excellence Monsieur Cheikh NIANG, Ministre de l’Intégration africaine, des Affaires étrangères et des Sénégalais de l’Extérieur, a pris part à la 23ᵉ session extraordinaire du Conseil des Ministres des Affaires étrangères de l’Organisation de la Coopération Islamique (OCI), tenue ce jeudi 27 août 2026 à Djeddah (Arabie saoudite).

À cette occasion, le Ministre a réaffirmé le soutien constant du Sénégal en faveur des droits du peuple palestinien à un État indépendant, juste et viable, coexistant dans la paix et la sécurité avec l’État d’Israël, conformément au droit international.

La session a également été marquée par l’élection, à l’unanimité, de Son Excellence Monsieur Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed au poste de Secrétaire général de l’OCI.

Au nom du Chef de l’État et du Gouvernement du Sénégal, le Ministre lui a adressé ses chaleureuses félicitations et ses vœux de succès dans l’exercice de son mandat.

Cette participation témoigne de l’attachement du Sénégal aux idéaux de paix, de solidarité et de coopération défendus par l’OCI.

23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers

His Excellency Mr. Cheikh NIANG, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, took part in the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held this Thursday, 27 August 2026, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

On this occasion, the Minister reaffirmed Senegal’s steadfast support for the rights of the Palestinian people to an independent, just and viable State, coexisting in peace and security with the State of Israel, in accordance with international law.

The session was also marked by the unanimous election of His Excellency Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed as Secretary-General of the OIC.

On behalf of the Head of State and the Government of Senegal, the Minister extended his warm congratulations to him and wished him every success in carrying out his mandate.

This participation reflects Senegal’s commitment to the ideals of peace, solidarity and cooperation championed by the OIC.
