📍2ème session du Dialogue Stratégique entre le Sénégal et le Royaume-Uni
Le 23 Octobre 2023 à Londres, le Royaume-Uni et le Sénégal ont tenu la première session du Dialogue Stratégique de haut niveau entre les deux (2) pays. A cette occasion, il avait été acté que ce cadre de concertation aurait lieu chaque année et servirait de mécanisme pour identifier et promouvoir les objectifs communs en matière de politique étrangère, économique, climatique, environnementale, de défense et de sécurité.
Hier, le 2 Septembre 2025, la promesse a été honorée. Son Excellence Madame Yassine Fall, Ministre de l’Intégration africaine et des Affaires étrangères a coprésidé la 2eme édition de ce dialogue aux côtés de son homologue Lord Collins of Highbury, Ministre britannique pour l’Afrique.
Les travaux ont permis d’examiner de nouvelles perspectives de coopération, en particulier dans les domaines industriel et commercial, avec un accent mis sur le Forum « Invest in Sénégal » prévu les 7 et 8 octobre prochains, ainsi que dans le secteur des infrastructures à travers le financement du port de Ndayane.
Les deux délégations ont également partagé leurs préoccupations sur l’aggravation de la situation sécuritaire à Gaza et au Sahel, et ont souligné l’urgence de parvenir à une solution pacifique au conflit en Ukraine.

📍 2nd Session of the Strategic Dialogue between Senegal and the United Kingdom
On 23 October 2023 in London, the United Kingdom and Senegal held the inaugural session of their High-Level Strategic Dialogue. On that occasion, it was agreed that this consultation framework would be convened annually to serve as a mechanism for identifying and advancing shared objectives in foreign policy, economic cooperation, climate and environmental matters, as well as defence and security.
Yesterday, 2 September 2025, that commitment was fulfilled. Her Excellency Madame Yassine Fall, Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, co-chaired the 2nd edition of this dialogue alongside her counterpart, Lord Collins of Highbury, UK Minister for Africa.
The discussions provided an opportunity to explore new avenues of cooperation, particularly in the industrial and trade sectors, with a strong focus on the upcoming “Invest in Senegal” Forum scheduled for 7–8 October, as well as infrastructure development through the financing of the Port of Ndayane.
Both delegations also exchanged views on the deteriorating security situations in Gaza and the Sahel, and underlined the urgency of achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.
